Recording Studio and Rehearsal Facilities

All educational establishments will receive a 25% discount on all studio recording services.  We are able to offer unique services to schools, both in the primary and secondary sector.

• Record school bands, choirs and ensembles.


• Record student performances for coursework portfolio evidence (GCSE, BTEC level 2/3 and 'A' level).


• Teaching the recording unit for BTEC and A Level courses.  Hands on workshop approach in a studio with an experienced engineer that delivers courses within Sittingbourne Community College.


• Teacher Training and workshops for practitioners:
  • advice on establishing and delivering recording units.
  • training on Cubase SX3, Reason, Halion etc.
  • general recording and/or sequencing principles.  
  
  
• Contemporary Music Programme - Give your budding rock and pop stars the opportunity to focus on performance, technical skills, stage presence, working in a group and recording practice. Students work with our team of contemporary staff musicians in a relaxed, but focused environment, working towards a recording, course outcome or external examination criteria.

Music Technology and Consultancy

Our lead teacher in this capacity is Garrie Harvey (Head of Music and AST), he is well known in the area and has installed his own music technology solution in a number of schools across the county. The system we recommend is unique in that it is based on real teaching experience, and incorporates an audio loom back to a teachers consol for immediate audtition or recording to cd. Although we can provide a complete solution we can also work with existing or third party machines.

• Training for up to 15 teachers or students on; Cubase SE, Sibelius, Music Maker, Music Ace 2, Web Technologies - soon to offer Logic on Mac platform. Schools have used this service to allow students to complete composition coursework.


• Institution evaluations - Investigate and report on your existing facilities and how they could be maximised or developed to deliver course content.


• Music technology system advice, maintenance and support:
  • system testing
  • repair and debugging
  • re-configuration and upgrades.


• Music technology suite installation - full service from system design to installation, training and support (pc or mac).
